This pain was a result of a car accident that involved numerous cars. I also had very poor posture most of my life.

I am a nurse on a very busy floor so I knew I had to do something to prevent further damage. I tried physiotherapy and massage for a number of years with no relief. I also tried taking ibuprofen which also did not have any effect. The pain was almost debilitating and never really went away. It caused me to become depressed and unable to be comfortable in any situation. I was in desperate need of relief.

When I came to Nova Spinal Care I felt very welcomed and at home. I was impressed with the thorough exam that involved x-rays of your head and neck and a scan of my spine.  The results of these tests shocked and surprised me. I felt like my complaints were finally legitimate. I was told by Dr. Plotsky that I was “crooked” which meant my spine was out of alignment. This also affected my bodily functions and overall health status. I always suffered from digestion issues and this may have explained the reason why.

I started to come to the clinic on a regular basis. I also decided to include massage therapy in my treatment. I started receiving deep massage from MJ Mallett-Longley as well as adjustments with Dr. Plotsky on a bi-weekly basis. I started to notice improvement immediately. I felt less tension in my neck, shoulders and back which also caused me to feel less stress. I noticed I would have a day with no pain at all. It was almost shocking to feel “normal” for a day or two. My whole body seemed to function better which also put me in a better mood.

I also feel a sense of family when I come to Nova Spinal Care. It’s a relaxed and very open environment just like home. These people have become part of my family as well as my life. I will never turn back. I know now that I am committed to living a healthy lifestyle which will always involve chiropractic care and massage therapy at Nova Spinal Care!
